Do You Still Need a Website in 2023?

by | Aug 5, 2023

Not only does having a credible online presence help you establish trust; it also serves as a hub for your brand, products, and services that YOU own.

The fact is, social media is too big. It’s increasingly difficult to get reach going (almost everyone I know is feeling it right now) and even when you do, there’s a constant risk of losing your account overnight (this seems to be on the uptick as well). A killer website can help you cut through that noise and the best part is you don’t have to worry about it getting deleted by someone else.

People who don’t have a website are usually held back by one of three things: time, money or tech-savviness.

Luckily, there are options for every price point and a lot of the work can be done for you, so you don’t need to be a tech genius!

Here are a few common options:

1. Custom website

These are expensive. I offer them so can confirm they’re definitely worth the $6000+ they cost  but I usually keep them for bigger businesses who have unique design or feature needs that can’t be addressed with a smaller package.

2. Premade theme (DIY)

This is usually a template that you buy for under $500. You do all the work of customising it yourself, which can be rough if you don’t know the platform or aren’t much of a designer but can save you money. Some are even free!

3. Semi-custom website

By far my fave option. This is like a hybrid between premade and custom so you get the best of both worlds on a budget. A designer customises a premade template for you with your colours, fonts, etc, meaning you don’t have to do any work. This can cost anywhere from $2000 to $4,500 but will still save you time and frustration trying to learn a new platform while being more affordable than fully custom.

I offer these in my new package, Website In A Week

In summary, I say it’s crucial to have a website in 2023 and beyond. It gives you control over a huge chunk of your business and a place for people to find you even if (god forbid) your socials get deleted. It’s also an incredibly powerful way to connect with your ideal customer, giving you dedicated space to share what you do that we just don’t get anywhere else these days…and that benefits both you AND your ideal customer.
