Lost Words
Kristie from Lost Words came to us needing brand strategy, brand identity and a custom-built website that would reflect everything she stood for. She offers professional writing with a focus on human connection and she wanted that to come through in the brand identity we built.
Because the warmth of real, human relationship is such an important aspect of her work, we emphasises “approachability” as a brand value, selecting a warm, earthy colour palette and pairing that with paper textures, ink blots and various other markers of the physical history of “writing”. The logo design itself features a feather quill and ink pot, designed to look drawn in ink themselves.
The brand typeface is Baskerville New, a revival of the original Baskerville font from 1815, redesigned in 2017 with a contemporary twist that gives the overall brand a classic, timeless feel.
